So this meaning of the name itself reflects the traditional process of preparing the Chungapura Pitha. That is, a mixture of rice is prepared, and then the mixture is poured into special bamboo tubes to form traditional sweets and cooked.

Preparation steps 

Making Changa Pura Peetha is not very easy. It has the following steps:

1. Preparation of rice mixture

2. Filling Dolu bamboo tubes with the mixture

3. Steaming of filled tubular bamboo tubes

4. Serve with coconut, sugar, and other sweet items.

Preparing Changa Peetha is no less than an art that requires skill. The process begins with the selection of fine-quality rice, which is soaked overnight and milled. After that, water and a pinch of salt are added to the flour. Dolu bamboo tubes, usually harvested from forests, are prepared by washing and cleaning well, then the mixture is poured into these tube-like bamboo, after which the steam cooks the rice. The banana leaves are also used in the process for covering purposes. After an hour of steaming, the Chunga Pitha is removed from the bamboo and served hot with sweet items.

Chunga Pitha holds a special place in Bengali culture and is often served during special occasions and festivals of all religions. It is also served during various social gatherings and prepared for special guests. This dish is often served as a sign of hospitality and respect for guests.
